Harley Brooks
Harley Brooks, age 88, of Tunnel Hill, passed away Friday, June 18, 2021 at Orchard Ridge of Dalton.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Dean Brooks; parents, James and Jenny Brooks; two brothers, Roscoe and Johnny Brooks; and a grandson, Cody Brooks.
He was employed with Western Auto as an assistant manager and retired from Mannington Carpets in Calhoun, Ga.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Sandy (David) Merritt of Cohutta; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth (Connie) Brooks of Chattanooga; brother and sister-in-law, Olan (Dianne) Brooks of Rocky Face; grandchildren, Nathan (Christel) Brooks, Brooks Merritt, Lance (Tiffany) Merritt, Chandler Brooks and Sid Merritt; and great-grandchildren, Emery, Cooper, Brantley, Natalie, Weston, Peyton and Halan. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 22, in the Rocky Face Chapel with Rev. David Pangle officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, June 21, from 5-8 p.m.
Mr. Brooks will be laid to rest at United Memorial Gardens.
