Thomas (Tom) Earl Patterson, 92, of Chattanooga went home to be with the Lord, Thursday July 9, 2021.

What his family and friends remember most about Tom were his strong faith, love for his family, laughing at a good joke, dancing an Irish jig, and his beautiful singing voice. Tom belted out his big bass voice singing solos at church as well as serenading his children during their childhood. Although Tom worked in sales his real work was played out in putting his faith into action. He enthusiastically worked in leadership at Hickory Valley Christian Church and Mountain View Christian Church. In his most recent years he attended West Village Christian Church in Oak Ridge, Tennessee and Jefferson City Christian Church where he found friends and a faith community.

He was married to his beloved wife and best friend, Louise B. Patterson, for 64 years until her death in 2014.

He is survived by two sons, Steven Wayne Patterson and Thomas O. (Teresa) Patterson, daughter, Wanda P. (Ed) Kelley, seven grandchildren: Christina Patterson, Leanne (Marty) Feagins, Grace and Blake Neal, Meghan, Erin and Ross Kelley, and two great-grandsons, Graham Reed and Declan Oliver Feagins

Funeral services will be conducted from the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Saturday July 17, 2021 at 3 p.m. with Minister Dan Roberts officiating.

Inurnment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
