Girls Inc. of Chattanooga announces Fance Brannock as director of Program Operations and Taylor Hixson as chief development officer.

Ms. Brannock is responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with community partners, schools and community champions to ensure that programming remains relevant. Ms. Hixson is responsible for growing and evaluating the fund development profile enabling Girls Inc. of Chattanooga to serve more girls annually.

Ms. Brannock has been a part of the Girls Inc. staff since 2014 as a program coordinator, working with young girls across Hamilton County through literacy programming and seasonal camps. She has seen Girls Inc. of Chattanooga change and grow to serve more schools and families over her tenure and is excited for the future.

“I am honored to be able to serve the young ladies of Chattanooga in this capacity. With the amazing Girls Inc. team and our incredible supporters in their corner, I can’t wait to see the impact that these young ladies will have on our community and on the world.” says Ms. Brannock. She is an advocate for families in Chattanooga and is involved in many community outreach events through her local church including last spring’s tornado relief and clean-up, regular food giveaways and community projects with Emma Wheeler and East Lake.

Ms. Hixson has over seven years’ experience in non-profit development, most recently serving as the development director for the Humane Educational Society. She is community focused and serves on the board of directors for the Chattanooga Audubon Society, and has been a volunteer for the Tennessee Aquarium for the past seven years.

“I am grateful for this opportunity to work with our community to reach back and leave more doors open for the girls and young women behind me. Together with our dedicated Girls Inc. team and community of supporters, I aim to find new opportunities to inspire more girls to be strong, smart and bold leaders in society,” says Ms. Hixson.

Girls Inc. CEO Toccora Johnson-Petersen said, “We are thrilled to have two new members of our leadership team who believe in the promise and potential of our girls. Fance and Taylor bring a wealth of knowledge to their departments and our team. Myself and our board of directors are looking forward to working alongside Fance and Taylor to fulfill our mission and expand our impact.”
