Krauss, Ricardo Omar

  • Wednesday, July 28, 2021

On Friday July 23, 2021 in Harrison, one of the most loving souls to walk this earth, Ricardo Omar Krauss, left us to join his heavenly Father far too early, at the bright age of 52. Ricardo was born in Miami, Fl. on Sept. 30, 1968.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Dora Krauss.

He is survived by his wife, Diana Krauss, of 26 years; his children, Erik, Vanessa and Tyler; his older siblings, Mario and Walter Krauss; and his many nieces and nephews.

He proudly served his adored nation in the U.S Navy during the first Gulf War, Desert Storm, allowing him to travel the world and create beautiful memories; he wouldn’t have had it any other way.

Shortly after his honorable discharge, at the young age of 24, he laid eyes upon his beautiful wife, Diana, and from there it was love at first sight. They soon married on April 3, 1995 and lovingly raised three beautiful children. He was a hard-working provider, happily giving 25 plus years working at the United States Postal Service.

Ricardo loved his wife and family with a love so grand it was almost unreal. He had the greatest passion for his family, country and city. He loved all things “Star Wars,” “Harry Potter” and
“Dungeons & Dragons”; with countless late nights devoted to his computer games and
sci-fi/fantasy admiration. He was a lover of all things involving firearms and was adamant on making sure his family would always be protected at any moment in time.

He was an 80's baby at heart and an 80’s music lover and enthusiast. He was best known for his corny jokes, his repeated offers for coffee in the morning, his driven and strong discussions of
politics and his love for his family.

He was a man with a soul so pure, so good and so loving that was almost too virtuous to walk this earth. He was a smart, dedicated man, knowing the answer to almost any question you threw at him. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother and son, sharing a love that
his family had the greatest pleasure of witnessing and that you could only hope a person is able to experience at least once in a lifetime. He was a strong lover of Christ, always making sure to be thankful to Him for everything he accomplished and never forgetting to share and express
just how grand and great is the love of God.

The celebration of Ricardo’s life will be held on Friday, July 30 at Redemption Point Church on Ooltewah-Ringgold Road. The viewing will be from 10 a.m.-noon, with the service at noon, followed by the burial service at the National Cemetery.

Flowers and donations may be sent to the church.
