Fred Thomas McEwen, 63 of Chattanooga, passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 24, 2021, after a lengthy illness.  He was a good brother.

Fred was born on July 31, 1957.  He graduated from Brainerd High School a year early with a perfect attendance record for all 11 years.

He had a CDL and drove a tractor trailer for Haynes and Haynes.

Among his interests were College Football, Guns, Antiques, Classic Rock Music, and Republican Politics.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Freda Jo Rogers McEwen; nephew, Dwight McEwen; and grandniece, Addalyn Brooke McEwen. 

Survivors include his daughter, Crystal Kukta; granddaughters, Kloe Kukta, and Kendall Kukta; sister, Susan McEwen Williams; brother, Dan McEwen; nieces and nephews.

The McEwen family is very grateful to Bob Haynes, the Haynes family, and employees, for all they have done for Fred.

Special thanks to all the good folks with Welcome Home of Chattanooga and Hospice of Chattanooga.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
