A Thought About The Unvaccinated - And Response

Wednesday, July 28, 2021

As COVID is on the rise once again, I am confused about why so many people are hesitant about being vaccinated.  If you are afraid or unsure about the vaccine, perhaps the ongoing effort to inform and educate people will eventually help.

If you are not being vaccinated for purely political reasons, consider that the effects of COVID could impact the population in a way that decreases the number of people who are left to vote the way you prefer in the future.

Miss Ward, below are the reasons I do not plan on getting vaccinated at this time.

1) I had Covid early on and recovered. If you believe in science since I recovered my body has produced the anti- bodies necessary that equal or surpass anything the vaccine can provide me.

2) This is an experimental vaccine and I do not want to be a test subject not knowing what the long term effect will be.

3) Everyday for at least the last week I have read about fully vaccinated individuals still getting Covid with some dying which makes me wonder about the effectiveness of the vaccine.

4) In looking at the actual data there is already a greater than 99 percent chance I will not be hospitalized and/or die from Covid.

When all these points are taken into account, common sense tells me to hold off on the vaccine, as I will probable die from something other than Covid. Yes, there is a chance I could die from Covid, but it is a very slim chance and I choose to live my life knowing that I, like everyone else, will die eventually. We all die, I choose to not live in fear. Hope you have a great day!
