Thomas, Glenn R.

Glenn R..Thomas passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021, after several years of a lingering illness. He was a native of Chattanooga, born on Oct. 20, 1940.

Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Monroe Thomas, of Fife, Ga. and Mrs. Elizabeth Mabry Thomas, of Sequatchie County.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 58 years, Sallie Patten Thomas; brother, Monty Gene Thomas, of Nashville; children, Michael Glenn Thomas (Paula), Terri Lynn Rollins (Bruce) and Mark Christopher Thomas (Lori); grandchildren, Nick (Becca), Lauren, Samantha and Jacob Thomas, and Heather Cisco, all of Soddy Daisy; and great-grandchildren, Mason and Caroline.

Mr. Thomas was a member of Marshall Mize Ford Company for 27 years. He was a member of the Mountain City Masonic Lodge 549, The Scottish Rite and the Alhambra Shrine Temple, where he was Captain of the Clown Unit.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 3 at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson. The family will have a private graveside service at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
