Mary Hixson
Mary Frank Hixson, 96, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 1, 2021.
She was born on June 7, 1925. She was past worthy matron of Ooltewah Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, where she served different offices and was Grand Instructor for Tennessee.
She was predeceased by her parents, Carl and Ada Condra; her brothers, Ralph and Lytton Condra; and her husband, Finis J. Hixson.
Mary is survived by her son, Jimmie F. (Debbie) Hixson; granddaughters, Andrea (Ben) Witt and Paige (Jeff) Lewis; great-grandchildren, Jarrett and Jacob Lewis, and Lauren and Brandon Witt; great-great-granddaughters, Brooklyn and Jemma Lewis; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 5, at Heritage Funeral Home East Brainerd Chapel with Pastor Scott Huffstetler officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Dunlap. Pallbearers will be Grady Ewton, Ben Witt, Jeff Lewis, Tommy Austin, Randy Thurman, and Bill Condra. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tom Witt, Raymond Beebe, and Chichamauga Region Antique Automobile Club Association.
