Larry D. Curtis, 72, of East Ridge, passed away on September 12, 2021, after a long and courageous battle with MS.

He was a graduate of East Ridge High School Class of 1967. Larry also graduated from the University of Chattanooga with a Bachelors of Science Degree.

Larry was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He served in the Vietnam War. Larry retired from the USPS in Chickamauga, in 2007. He was of the Baptist faith.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Virginia Curtis, and brother in law, Larry Jackson.

He is survived by his sister, Nancy Jackson, and a nephew, Brad (Shelly) Jackson, and great-nieces, Katelyn and LeeAnn Jackson and Lauren (Conner) Brown, and great-great-nephews, Bartlett and Harvey Brown.

Due to COVID concerns the family will be having a private graveside service at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Peggy Fowler and the Hospice of Chattanooga East Team for their care and support.

In lieu of flowers the family wishes that memorial contributions in Larry’s memory be made to the MS Society.

Arrangements are under the care of Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist East Chapel, 404 South Moore Road, East Ridge, TN 37412.
