John Wesley McBee, Jr.
John Wesley McBee, Jr., age 34, of Rocky Face, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021 at his home.
He was preceded in death by father, John Wesley McBee, and grandmothers, Linda Patterson and Margaret Ray.
John has a big heart, a great sense of humor and was a joy to be around. He spent the past six months of his life inviting people to church and telling them about Jesus.
He is survived by his son, Knox McBee of Dalton; parents, Monica and Kenny Lampkin of Rocky Face and Scott and Amy Ray, of Tunnel Hill; sister, Kayla Gleash of Cohutta; brothers and sister-in-law, Mitchell and Taylor McBee of Rocky Face, Hunter McBee of Cohutta and two step-brothers, Chris and Alex Semratedu ; best friend, Blake Ellison; grandparents, Albert and Charlotte Ledford, and Jerry Ray, all of Cohutta and David and Dianne Lampkin of New Market, AL; special friend, Courtney Plott; and nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Friday, Sept. 17, at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples funeral home with Rev. Frankie Ridley officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, Sept. 16, from 5-8 p.m.
Burial will be in the United Memorial Gardens.
