Moses Roberts
Moses Lee “June” Roberts, Jr., 87, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at his residence.
He was a graduate of Howard High School and attended A&I State University. He attended Rose of Sharon Baptist Church and United Community Baptist Church. Moses retired from the United States Postal Service after many years of service. He also drove a cab for Mercury Cab Company.
Moses was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita B. Roberts.
Survivors include his daughter, Angela Roberts of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Michelle Roberts, Noah Dillard, Kendall Andrews, Jr., and Jalen Tarvin; sisters, Elease McClure of Cincinnati, OH and Jeanette Donald of San Jose, CA; extended family, Liane Wilson, Gerald Wilson, and Carmen Wilson; a host of other relatives and friends.
Moses will lie in state on Tuesday, Sept. 21, from 1-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, Sept. 22, at noon in the chapel with Pastor Ron Cook, Sr. as the eulogist.
Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
