Patricia “Pat” Parker Anderson, of Tunnel Hill, passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021 at the age of 87, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and loved by many friends.

She was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Parker and was also preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Ray Anderson; son, Andy Anderson; and sister-in-law, Betty Gilmartin.

Pat demonstrated her faith in Jesus Christ through her 47 years of service at Tunnel Hill United Methodist Church, where she participated in various ministries including:  Wednesday night meal preparation group, Feed the Kids Ministry, children’s Sunday school, UMW, and was active with the family ministries group for various community activities during the year.  Pat was employed by Shaw Industries for 33 years, beginning her career with Cabin Craft Carpets as a customer service representative ultimately becoming training coordinator for the customer service group. 

She is survived by children, Greg and Lisa Anderson, Arthur and Jodi Anderson, and Elizabeth Dennis; grandchildren, Jeremy Couey, Natalie and Jordan Garcia, Phillip Anderson, Rachel and Daniel Mills; great-grandson, Anderson Garcia; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Diane Parker; brother-in-law, Tom Anderson; and nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Pat’s caregivers and special friends, Valerie Cleaver, Pam Gunter, Ella Mae Green, and LaSonya Bonds.

Visitation for Pat will be held on Monday, Sept. 27, from 1-2:30 p.m. at Tunnel Hill United Methodist Church with the funeral aervice to follow. Rev. Jay Tenney will be officiating with burial to follow at Griffin Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tunnel Hill United Methodist Church, 121 N. Varnell Rd. Tunnel Hill, GA 30755.
