Young adults in the greater Chattanooga area and throughout the North America area heard from Elder Ronald A. Rasband of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Six members of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles spoke on the same day in devotionals for young adults (ages 18-30, married and single) in different areas across the globe, underscoring the message that Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, care about and love each of us, no matter where we are, officials said.
Elder Rasband’s message was love God, love thy neighbor, keep the commandments, follow God’s living prophet and be joyful. Be a disciple of Jesus Christ, he encouraged.
Elder Dieter F.
Uchtdorf spoke to young adults in Asia and the Pacific, teaching that Heavenly Father knows each of us individually. He is always there for us, Elder Uchtdorf taught.
Elder Quentin L. Cook spoke to young adults in Europe, Europe East, Africa and the Middle East. He spoke about choices and how the choices we make are critical to our happiness.
Elder D. Todd Christofferson spoke to Portuguese-speaking young adults in Brazil, Africa and Europe areas. He taught to “fear not.” Focus on Jesus Christ to succeed “in a difficult world,” he said. He also encouraged young adults to pursue different types of education.
Elder Neil A. Andersen spoke to young adults living in Latin America and Spain. He focused on repentance and forgiveness. Through Christ’s Atonement, we can change, he stated.
Elder Dale G. Renlund spoke to French-speaking young adults in Canada, France, Africa, the Caribbean and Pacific areas. He talked about how we can learn to hear God’s voice.
Each Apostle bore special witness that Jesus Christ lives. The Apostles were joined by their wives who also bore powerful testimony that the heavens are open and that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ will always help us.
Other speakers included members of the Seventy, and their wives. The devotionals can be viewed at https://newsroom.churchofjesuschrist.org/article/six-2022-area-devotionals-with-apostles-will-reach-young-adults-worldwide.
