Nancy Davis Sylar, 91, of Chattanooga, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 20, 2022.  

Nancy was born on June 24, 1930, to the late Elmo and Mae Cate Davis.

Nancy was retired from Provident Life and Accident and a member of Christ United Methodist Church. 

In addition to her husband, Kenneth R. Sylar, she was preceded in death by her brothers, William T. Davis, Lewis M. Davis, and Robert (Bob) Davis and sister, Helen Hines.   

Survivors include her sons, Mark (Carol) Sylar, Marshall (Marisa) Sylar; sister, Mary Jo Hughes; grandchildren, Karrie (Jacob) Crawford, Chad (Rebecca) Sylar, Andrew (Matthew) Carden, Craig Sylar (Shana Hensley), Shannon (Jon) Smith; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be held at the Chattanooga Funeral Home, East Brainerd Chapel on Tuesday, Jan. 25, from 10 a.m.–12 p.m.

Graveside service and interment will be follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. with Rev. Cliff Hudson officiating.

The family is grateful for the loving care and committed staff of Dr. J. Kirk Rogers, Riverdale Health Care and Amedisys Hospice Care.
