Raymond A. “Ray” Hall, Jr., 89, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022.

 

Mr. Hall was born in Youngstown, Oh., the son of the late Dr. Raymond A. Hall, Sr. and Ruth P. Hall. He proudly served in the United States Navy as a communications officer. Mr. Hall graduated from Duke University and attended OCS. Ray was an active Presbyterian his whole life and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga.  He loved being active outdoors and enjoyed sports, bridge, reading the newspaper, and ice cream. Ray was always ready to laugh and enjoy anyone he was around.

 

Survivors include his loving wife of sixty years, Judy Hall; two sons, David Hall (Karen) and Chris Hall; and his beloved grandsons, Matthew, Alexander, and Preston Hall.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 5, at 1 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home.

 

A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday from noon until the funeral hour at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Chapel.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made to First Presbyterian Church, 554 McCallie Ave., Chattanooga, Tn. 37402 or any animal shelter of your choice.
