Charles LeBron “Bronie” Lewis
Charles LeBron “Bronie” Lewis, 76, a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022, in a local hospital.
He had lived in the area his entire life and was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of Woodstock Church in Panama City Beach, Fl. He was a truck driver and a member of Teamsters Local 515 in Chattanooga. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Chester Lewis and Martha Gentry Lewis.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte June Smith Lewis; three children, Charles Bruce Lewis (Selena) of Cleveland: Christopher Grant Lewis of Cleveland; Mike David Lewis of Sedalia, MO; six grandchildren: Ashley Turner (Thomas); Hunter Lewis (Lexi Hargrove); Tyler Lewis; Christian Lewis; Briana Lewis; and Bryson Lewis; one great-grandchild, Easton Lewis; two sisters, Betty Jo Lewis Braley (Richard) of Harrison and Joyce Ann Campbell of Ooltewah; and one brother, Roy Lewis of Harrison; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 25, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Rev. James Vaughn and Rev. Ricky Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow at McDonald Eastview Cemetery in Ooltewah with Mark Braley, Darryl Braley, Jeremiah Sims, Thomas Turner, Hunter Lewis, Tyler Lewis, and Christian Lewis serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12-2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
