Modern country artist Steven Cade on Thursday at 1 p.m. will visit The Salvation Army Chattanooga Area Command’s day shelter for those experiencing homelessness to perform and to donate guitars to the 614 Corps.
Mr. Cade, whose family has faced homelessness as well, aims to inspire those in need through his music while also enabling them to artistically express their own stories and feelings.
Members of the public are invited to attend this free contemporary concert and to enjoy fellowship with others in the community.
Cade’s visit to The Salvation Army is part of his “Giving Guitars Tour” that includes shelters and other facilities across the country that serve those unhoused. The project, in partnership with Brent and Christina Yates’ foundation Restore Us, is designed to raise awareness of the growing difficulties of homelessness in the U.S. while also providing hope and joy through music.
Following The Salvation Army, Cade’s next stop will be the Maclellan Family Shelter at 3 p.m. the same day.
