Jan. 31, ONLINE: Stay Savvy Workshop Series Presented by The Company Lab

noon-1 p.m.

This event is the first in a series of workshops that are an extension of the Company Lab's premier entrepreneurship celebration, Startup Week, which happens the third week of Oct. That week is all about learning, connecting and community and these workshops extend that.

The first workshop will include a panel discussion about what it means to brand your business as a family and the pros and cons that come with that. The panel will be comprised of: Amanda Nelson Varnell, Culinary Director at ALCHEMY Spice; The Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce's Darian Scott; Marco Perez, from LA PAZ and RELIFE STRATEGIES and Amanda Jelks of Jelks Attorney at Law.

Feb. 1, IN-PERSON: North Chattanooga Council Meeting

Join the North Chattanooga Council for our February lunch & learn when we return to the INCubator. We'll be joined once again by local historian, Linda Moss Mines, who'll tell us more about the history of North Chattanooga and how it shapes our current landscape.

Feb. 3, Online: Downtown Council Meeting

8-9 a.m.

Join the Downtown Chamber Council for our virtual February meeting. Our guest speaker will be Tim Morgan, Chief Sports Officer at the Chattanooga Tourism Company. Morgan leads Chattanooga Sports, a division of the Chattanooga Tourism Company and community sports commission responsible for defining the economic impact and social prosperity of sports tourism within Hamilton County. He will share an update on downtown happenings, conferences and sporting events in 2022 and the benefits to local businesses. Following the program, participants will have the option to stay online for professional networking.

Feb. 3, in-person: East Ridge Council Meeting

11:45 a.m.-1 p.m.

Local Coffee of East Ridge: 4104 Ringgold Road

The East Ridge Council will have Lieutenant Josh Creel join them to speak about business and law enforcement partnerships. Chief Allen has made these initiatives a priority by mandating patrol checks out of the car and through face-to-face interactions with area businesses. He will also be offering some best practices such as updating contact records with the PD and alarm companies, and again pressing for the trespass program.
