Janet R. Wilborn, 88, journeyed from this life to heaven on October 5, 2022.

 

She was born in Chapel Hill, N.C., on Sept. 30, 1934. She was the daughter of Otto Fuller And Lois Riley, living most of her early life in Hillsborough, N.C.

 

She was a loving and devoted wife for 63 years to her late husband Curtis Wilborn. She was a very proud mother of Don Wilborn (Lorie) Nashville, and Diann Dyer (Lee) Trenton. The light of her life were her four grandchildren Zachary Wilborn, Nashville, and Amber Wilborn Nashville, Trey Dyer (Alicia) Chattanooga, Riley Dyer (Allie) Birmingham. She was blessed with two great grandchildren Eliza Dyer, Chattanooga, and Olivia Dyer Birmingham. She is also survived by sister Wilma Modling, Nashville, and Barbara Mendoza, Hillsborough, N.C.

 

Janet was a member of Red Bank Baptist for many years and was a member of the Faith Sunday School Class.

 

A graveside service will be held on Monday, Oct. 10, at 10:30 a.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Rev Bill Harvey officiating.

 

There will be no public visitation at the funeral home.

 

Janet's Family would like to thank Dea, Ty, Katrena and Brenda for the love, support and care given their Mother over the last two years. You have been a blessing to our Mom and our family.

 

In lieu of flowers please make donations to Red Bank Baptist Church or Hospice of Chattanooga.
