Minnie Grier entered into the arms of her Heavenly Father on Friday, October 7, 2022.

Minnie was born in Huntsville, Al., the daughter of Willie Wilson and Beadie Mae Wilson.Preceding her in death were her parents; siblings, Mary (Johnny) Reed, Cora Toney and Wayne Martin; several aunts and uncles.Minnie accepted Christ at an early age and served faithfully. Later, she united with New Horizon, under the leadership of Pastor Willie Paul. She was working again diligently until her health failed. The early educational years for Minnie was in the Chattanooga Public School System. Her senior years were completed in San Francisco, Ca., with her aunt and uncle at the Army Military Base. Minnie worked vigorously all of her life, starting in culinary and childcare development.  She later transferred to custodial service and retired from UTC Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System.After retiring Minnie enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling and shopping.  The love of her life however, was taking care of and being in the presence of the little ones, nieces, nephews, in fact all children. 

Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 43 years Willie Lee Grier;  brothers, Willie "Buddy" Wilson II, Tommy "Spookie" Toney (Karen); sisters, Viola Ward and Barbara Martin; brothers-in-law, Hubert Grier, Fritz Clift; sisters-in-law, Barbara Grier, Judy Grier; devoted cousin, Delores Henderson;  devoted nephew, Willie Wilson III (LaQuiner) and nephews, Andreea Wilson, Andrea Toney, Demond Massey (Monique), Johnny Watkin; nieces, Portia Toney, Sonyetta Wilson Showers(Richard), Nokia Massey, Tanisha Bradley (Tyrus), Jaundice Massey, Daphne Alexander (Frank), Erika Baldwin, Melanie Martin and Falon Crawley, all of Huntsville, AL; other cousins and friends. 

Public viewing will be held from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15, followed immediately by an 11 a.m. funeral service in the chapel of John P. Franklin Funeral Home,1101 Dodds Ave., 423 622-9995.

Interment will be in Highland Cemetery.
