Chattanooga’s own Mid-South Symphonic band kicks off this season with a Christmas-themed show at Ringgold High School, 29 Tiger Trail in Ringgold, at 3 p.m. on Dec. 11. For 32 years, the symphony has brought a mixture of jazz, pop and classical to diverse audiences throughout the region. Conducted by Jim Souter, the all-volunteer band performs at charity events, fundraisers, churches,and more.
The free concert will feature selections Christmas classics, including “It Came Upon a Midnight Clear,“ "Chanson For Christmas” and “Wexford Carol,” as well as popular works from holiday shows like “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.”
“We love seeing people bring their families to our annual Christmas show," said Symphony President Sheryl Campbell. “This is very much a more the merrier occasion. Everybody come.”
