Linda Murphy Eller, 81, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, November 20, 2022.

Linda was born in Lawrenceburg, TN, moved to Nashville and then Chattanooga, where she graduated from Central High School.

During her early career, Linda was employed at Motor’s Insurance Company in Chattanooga. Linda later decided to return to school and graduated from the Erlanger School of Nursing where she earned her diploma and license as a Registered Nurse. She worked for many years at the Erlanger Miller Eye Center. Following retirement from nursing, she worked for the Donny Garner Nationwide Insurance Agency until her final retirement. Linda enjoyed traveling, attending church, flower gardening, bird watching, reading books, and attending sporting events. Linda could always be found on the sidelines of her children and grandchildren’s events. She was always one of their biggest fans.

Linda was known as “Lint” by all who knew and loved her. She was half of the iconic duo of Lint and Lloyd Eller. She was preceded in death by James “Lloyd” Eller, her mother, Tot Moore Murphy, grandparents, several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Linda and Jim had three children, Leigh (Harv) Sanders, Jennifer Eller (Kelly Martin) and Murphy Eller (Jennifer Compton). She enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow, and their activities brought her a lot of happiness: Aryn Sanders, Grayce Sanders, Caroline Eller-Martin, Elizabeth Eller-Martin, Jesse Eller, and Rumor White.

She was a member of the family at Tiftonia Baptist Church and loved everyone there.

Linda loved the holidays and knew it was a time for spending with family and friends.

Visitation will be at Lane Funeral Home on Saturday, Dec. 3, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., with a service to follow in the chapel at 1 p.m. Linda is being cremated, so there will be no graveside service.

The family would like to express sincere, never-ending appreciation to Sharon McLain for her compassion and loving care given to Linda. You are a true angel on earth.

To the staff of Life Care of Red Bank and Hospice of Chattanooga, thank you for all your care and dedicated support to Linda during her illness and final days.

Donations in Linda’s memory may be made to Tiftonia Baptist Church.
