Two Bradley County wrestling squads are at the top of the latest statewide rankings.

Cleveland is #1 and Bradley Central #2 in Division I in the www.pin-tn.com listings.

Toby Pendergrass, director of the Allan Jones Foundation, said, “For years, the Allan Jones Foundation has provided financial support to both the Cleveland and Bradley kids wrestling clubs to ensure the high school clubs had strong pipelines and could dominate everyone else in the state.

“Mr. Jones has always said that Cleveland needs competition from Bradley in the same way that Baylor needs competition from McCallie.

"This new rankings show once again that anyone wanting to win a state championship must go through Cleveland and Bradley County first.”
