Held Long Career With UPS And Loved The Outdoors

William “Bill” Neely died at home with family on Thursday, December 8, 2022.

William retired from UPS (United Parcel Service) after 30 years of service. He also enjoyed all aspects of the outdoors like hunting, fishing, and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Catherine Marshall Neely (Coach Neely to her friends) his parents, George and Lillie Bell Neely and one brother, Richard Neely.

He is survived by one brother, George (Shirley) Neely Jr., sister-in-law, Leigh (the late Richard) Neely, his son, Marshall Allen (Tammy) Neely, four grandchildren, Travis (Brittany) Neely, Tyler Neely, Christian (Robbie) Davis, and Adam Pitre; and four great-grandchildren, Presley Davis, Payton Neely, Rylee Neely, and Rowdy Cash Davis.

Services will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 12, in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Robert Goff officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Hospice of Chattanooga. The family gives special thanks to Gooden’s Compassionate Care (Lori, Brenda, and Joan) for their help and comfort.
