Lakiesha Unique Allen, 43, of Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022, in the Hospice Care Center.

 

She was a 1994 graduate of Tower’s High School in Atlanta, GA. Lakiesha was the assistant choir director for 10 years at Brainerd First Church of God.

 

She was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Mrs. Edith; grandmother, Mrs. Carolyn Douglas; grandfather, Mr. Fletcher Armour; and uncle, Mr. Kevin Tucker.

 

Survivors include her husband of 10 years, Mr. Julius A. Allen; sons, Legend Douglas, Julius A. Allen, Jr.; god-daughter, London Tucker; father, Fletcher A. Douglas, III.; mother, Patricia Harris; mother-in-law, Miss Debra Allen; grandmother, Mrs. Georgeann Tucker Hooks; brothers, Antwon D. (Tamika) McDaniel, Tarance McDaniel, Fletcher (Neesa) Douglas, and Micheal Douglas; sisters, Carolyn L. Douglas, Tamara A. (Chris) Martin, and Toni H. Douglas; sisters-in-law, Lekeya and Latoya Allen; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

 

Lakiesha will lie in state on Sunday, April 3, from 3-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.

 

Funeral services will be on Monday April 4, at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Kevin Russell as the eulogist.

 

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
