Dr. John Russell “Rusty” Morris, 55, of South Pittsburg, TN, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022.
 
Dr. Morris was born July 27, 1966 in Chattanooga, TN to Elaine Sushok Morris and Donald Morris. He graduated from University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he was a member of the Alpha-Iota Chapter of Kappa Sigma, and later earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from Life University. Dr. Morris was a member of Alhambra Shriners and Alhambra Pirate Unit, as well as the Red Fez Club. He was humbly involved in Tres Dias of Southeast Tennessee where he attended weekend #46. He served on numerous weekends there and served with Tres Dias Con Dios. He owned and operated Morris Family Chiropractic, loyally serving the Chattanooga community for over 20 years.
 
Rusty was a Godly man who possessed a genuine zeal for life. Rusty enjoyed telling stories, lending a helping hand, and was always the life of the party. Besides his wife and family, Rusty loved almost nothing more than food. Further, he was an avid gardener, chef, and triathlon participant. Throughout his life, Rusty was known as a friend to all and is remembered for his endless charm, sense of humor, mischievous smile, and adventurous nature.
 
Dr. Morris is preceded in death by his father, Donald Morris; maternal grandparents, John and Mary Sushok; and paternal grandparents, Dave and Bobbie Cureton Morris.
 
In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Nikki Morris; four children, John Russell “Little Rusty” Morris, Jr., Preston Thomas Morris, Bryson Hunter Morris, and Emma Katherine Morris; step-children, Alexandria Bea Mabry, Brydon Trent Mabry, Cambria Kashlyn Mabry, and Daycia Dakota Mabry; and the “Diamond Five” siblings, Daniel Morris (Kristen), Tiffany Service (Matt), Micah Morris (Kenneth Rebella), and David Morris.
 
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 1 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Chapel.
 
Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022 immediately after the service until 3:30 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home.
 
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Tres Dias of Southeast TN, 11206 Old East Brainerd Road, Apison, TN 37302.
