Winters, Cheryl Renee McDaniel (Athens)

Cheryl Renee McDaniel Winters, 67, of Athens, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2022 at her home.

She was a native of San Diego, Ca., and resident of McMinn County. She was the daughter of the late Marion and Vera McGraw McDaniel.

She was a member of Farmland Community Church in Cleveland. She had been associated with Athens Furniture Company and Denso Manufacturing.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Michael C. Winters, of Athens; three sons, Richard R. Cox, of Knoxville, Scottie W. Cox, of Decatur and Kevin (Dyan) Winters, of Athens; and one brother, Terry McDaniel, of Lexington, SC.

A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 19 at Cedar Grove Cemetery, with Rev. Pete Mullins officiating. The family will receive friends at Smith Funeral Home from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., prior to the graveside service.

Pallbearers will be family & friends.
