Dorothy Jean Burdette Nichols, of Signal Mountain, passed away on May 16, 2022.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Nichols and her Parents, Howard B. and Alice (Simmons) Burdette.

 

She is survived by her daughters, Vanessa (Josh) Meyer and Andrea (David) Hawkins; Grandchildren: Ashley (Steve) Kuehn, Charles (Keely) Meyer, Madison Meyer, Will (Alden) Hawkins, Chaz Hawkins, and Nick Hawkins; great-grandchildren, Stetson and Crimson Kuehn; brothers, Bob (Faye) Burdette, Clifford (Sandra) Burdette; and sisters, Ramona Gamble and Judy Bogard. 


She was co-owner with her husband of “The Parts Depot” an automotive car parts store. Her greatest joy was looking after her six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She spent the better part of her golden years devoted to making memories with them. In addition to her many accomplishments in life, she was noted for her award winning biscuits and quilt making. She also thoroughly enjoyed gardening and spending time at her home church Signal Mountain Church of Christ. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her and forever remembered. 


A cryptside service will be held Thursday, May 19, at 10 a.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens in the Chapel of Devotion.
