The 14th Annual Duck Day Golf Tournament was a success, with the goal to raise funds to provide a McCallie education to a deserving student.
With 148 golfers on a beautiful day at Council Fire Golf Club, the 2022 event was the largest ever, and $47,000 was raised to benefit the Duck Day Scholarship Fund to help a talented student attend McCallie. An additional $1,500 was raised for the Jim Mancke Fund, which supports the counseling program at McCallie.
In 14 years, the tournament has raised over $500,000 in gross sponsorships with $350,000 going towards financial aid helping local young men attend McCallie School.
Derek Steele, Bryce Ledford '03, Andrew Forrester '01, and Brandon Waters '00 were the top first flight foursome for the day. Jake Raulston '09, John Dobard, Justin Robinson, and Harrison Lowery were the second flight winners, and the senior winners were the team of Hyman Kaplan, Harry Hill, Ival Goldstein, and Frank Alford.
