Shelby Harris
Shelby Jean Sarratt Harris, 79 of Rossville, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 18, 2022.
Shelby lived most all of her life in the Rossville area and was a 1961 graduate of Ider High School. She retired in 2002 from American Saddlery as a seamstress with 27 years of service. Shelby was an active member of Elizabeth Terrace Baptist Church for over 30 years. Her passions in life were God, her family, quilting, enjoying trips to Gatlinburg, making candy and bread, and cooking. Shelby especially enjoyed time with her grandson, Ben, whom she considered her pride and joy.
Shelby was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Jessie Sarratt and nephew, Chuck Sarratt.
Survivors include her loving husband of 61 years, Arther Harris; son, Teddy (Karen) Harris; grandson, Ben Harris; two sisters, Pat (John) Godfrey and Carolyn Tankersley; one brother, Charles (Nina) Sarratt; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 21, at 11 a.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor George Pinion officiating. Interment will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
