Nancy Elizabeth "Betty" Oliver, 82, or "Mamaw" to most, passed away on June 22, 2022.

 

Betty was born on Dec. 26, 1939, to the late Giles and Lillie Bell Beach. She was a member of Brainerd Baptist Church where she attended the Friendship Sunday School Class. While she will now be spending her days with her heavenly father, she lived life on this earth in a way that has forever changed those she loved.

 

She was preceded in death by brothers, Leon, Buddy, and Gordon, as well as a sister, Yvonne.

 

Betty is survived by her husband of 63 years J.B., her daughter, Sherry, son-in-law, David and her grandchildren, Jeremy, Melea, Justin, Ashley, Amanda and Nathan, brothers, Mel (Suzanne) Beach and Ivan Beach, and sister-in-law, Loretta Beach. She was especially proud to be a great-grandmother to Kenzie, Lilly and Ansley.

 

A celebration of life will be held 12 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home chapel with Ted Gocke officiating.

 

Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Partners for Christian Media or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The family will receive friends from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday and 11 a.m.-12 p.m. on Monday at Heritage Funeral Home and Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
