Jeffery David McCollum
Jeffery David McCollum, 64, passed from this life on Thursday, June 23, 2022, in Hixson, Tennessee.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, he spent his younger years living in Florida and moved to Tennessee as a
teenager.
He loved his family and worked hard to provide for them. He loved cars and RC cars. He was
a skilled mechanic and worked in industrial maintenance as well as lawn care both as a
teenager and in his most recent years.
His favorite part of life was spending time with the grandchildren.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Levah McCollum, step-mother Berta
Mccollum, and two sisters, Connie Green and Bonnie Pendleton.
Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Peggy Brown McCollum; three children, Megan
(Jarrod) Grant, Alicia Bowers, and Jeffery McCollum, Jr, all of Soddy Daisy, TN; three
grandchildren, Jaxon Grant, Macie Bowers and Mavrik Bowers; six bonus grandchildren,
Adison, Emry, Sailey, Jese, Axl, and Journie Satterwhite; two sisters, Vicki Riness of Johnson
City, TN; and Crystal (Frankie) Ramey of Hixson, TN, several nieces and nephews; and step-
mother Charlotte McCollum.
Funeral services for Mr. Jeffery David McCollum, Sr., will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday,
June 27, in the funeral home chapel with Bro. David Smith and Bro. Joel Laney officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
