Carl D. Mills
Carl D. Mills, was born on June 5, 1929, and went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 25, 2022.
He was a former member of the Woodmore Church of God for many years and was currently a member of the North Cleveland Church of God since 1978 where he was a member of the Unity Sunday School Class. He was the son of the late William Paul Mills and Agnes L. Mills. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Willard (Billy) Mills and Donald L. Mills.
Carl proudly served in the United States Navy. He retired from Combustion Engineering after 44 years as manager of Purchasing and Administrative Services at the Stainless Steel Manufacturing Plant.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Mills for 60 years; brother, Jimmy Mills; children, Deborah (Howard) Yoshida, Dr. Duane (Karen) Mills, Marla (Dave) McAfee, Nicol (Chris) Crawley, Stanley Mills, and Debra Beard; ten grandsons; three granddaughters; seven great-grandsons; and four great-granddaughters.
Graveside and interment services will be held on Tuesday, June 28, at 12:30 p.m. on Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Chapel.
