Julia Sexton
Julia Faye Sexton, 83, of Rossville, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022, surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Sexton was a native of DeKalb County, Alabama, and a graduate of Dade County High School. She was the co-owner of Ray Sexton Trucking of Rossville, GA. Mrs. Sexton was a proud Democrat and a longstanding member of the Walker County Democratic Party. Mrs. Sexton was an avid fan of the Tennessee Lady Vols.
She was preceded in death by her husband Garland Ray Sexton and daughters, Vicki Gifford & Michelle Murr; parents, Lester & Evelyn Blevins; brothers, LD & Gary Blevins; and sisters, Ann Tyson & Martha Westbrook.
Survivors include her daughters, Tracy (Chris) Llewellyn of Rossville, & Tammy (Harvey) Wright of Corryton, TN; sisters, Jane Young of Rossville, GA, Mary McPherson of Fort Payne, AL, & Janice Wright of Flintstone, GA; brother, Larry Blevins of Fort Payne, AL; grandchildren, Ashley (Jeremy) Swift, Cody (Alisha) Murr, Brody Murr, Jeremiah (Christina) Wright, Lacey Gifford (David Sharp), Kaden & Katey Llewellyn; nine great-grandchildren, Bryson Murr, Braden Murr, Braxton Swift, Brycen Swift, Drake Wright , Cade Wright, Amelia Wright, Brayden Bynum & Mason Bynum; sisters-in-law, Jerrye McKoane of Alpharetta, GA, Brenda (Ted) Milligan of Maryville, TN, & Eileen Sparks of Alpharetta, GA; brother-in-law, Bearl (Joyce) Sexton of Ringgold, GA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Latonya Clayton, Kaden Llewellyn, and Harvey Wright officiating.
Entombment will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park, with nephews serving as pallbearers: Jeremiah Wright, Cody Murr, David Sharp, Jeremy Swift, Brian Lee, Jeff Caissie, Brian McClanahan, and Scotty Blevins
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
