Carolyn Coile Kreis, 91, of East Ridge, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at a local hospital.

She was a member of East Ridge Presbyterian Church. Carolyn was retired from Chubb Life Insurance. She was especially fond of genealogy, crossword puzzles, and her animals.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, William Joseph Kreis, Sr; brother, Charles Coile; daughter, Cindy Hinchliffe; and grandson, Boaz Hinchliffe.

Survivors include her children, Jeanette Watson (Harold), Patricia Wilkes (Mike Bornes), Bill Kreis, (Pam), Kenneth Kreis, Carolyn Templeton; eleven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Martha Gamble.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, July 1, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held at the Chattanooga National Cemetery at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 2.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
