Jane Young
Jane Davis Young, of Ooltewah, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, just one day before her 61st birthday after a brief battle with Bulbar ALS. Jane was surrounded by her family and those she loved most when the Lord called her home.
A lifelong resident of Hamilton County, Jane was a 1979 graduate of Tyner High School.
She spent many years in the banking industry before becoming at stay at home mom with her two daughters.
She was a member at Mt. Olive Church of God in Cleveland, for 28 years, but most recently was a member of Redemption Point Church, Ooltewah.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Gerri Davis; and her grandmothers, Minnie Richmond and Cydna Davis.
She was a devoted mother and Nonna and loved her Lord fiercely. She never lost her praise or her faith during her sickness and always stood on God’s promises. She fought the fight and she finished the race and we rejoice knowing that she is now in the presence of the Lord.
She is survived by her loving and devoted daughters, Brittany (Michael) Teets and Maeghan (Gina) Ottinger; the love of her life, her grandchildren, Bentley, Anniston and Bellamy Teets; her first love and father of her children, Curtis Ottinger; bonus daughter, Bonnie (Josh) Davidson; her children, Caelan, Gavin, Natalie, and Ian; brothers, Ronnie (Caren) Davis; special niece, Haley Garmany; and Jeff (Cindy) Davis, many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be held on Saturday, July 9, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Travis Ballinger, Michael Teets and Curtis Ottinger officiating.
Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Bentley Teets, Ronnie Davis, Jeff Davis, Herb Pettit, Tim Ottinger, and Marty Ottinger serving as pallbearers.
