State champion Baylor led a parade of Chattanooga area student-athletes named to the 2022 Tennessee Sports Writers Association All-State Softball Teams. The Lady Red Raiders had five players honored in Division II-AA.
Other area schools with multiple selections were Sale Creek in Division I, Class A, Bledsoe County in Class AA, Silverdale in Division II-A, and GPS and Chattanooga Christion in Division II-AA.
Baylor’s honorees are junior Morgan Sharpe and sophomores Riley Oleksik, Holly Merritt, Addi Yates and Kaylee Snyder.
GPS was represented by seniors Ansley Blevins, McKamey Bratcher and Abbie Reel, while CCS’s junior Lauren McGill and eighth grader Hannah Smith rounded the DII-AA selectees.
Silverdale’s Bentlle Stiner, a senior, and junior Kennedy Stinson made up the area’s DII-A selections.
In Division I, Class A, Sale Creek senior May Wilson and sophomore Brooke Raines were honored. Bledsoe County had two selectees in Class AA, a pair of sophomores from Bledsoe County led the way, Kamry Holland and Ella Baker, while senior Addy Edgemon of Sequatchie County and Meigs County junior Lainey Fitzgerald were honored.
Soddy Daisy senior Ryli Renfro wasnamed in Class AAA.
