Elect Kevin Wilson Judge In East Ridge

  • Wednesday, August 3, 2022

I was thinking back to just when I met Judge Kevin Wilson the first time.  It probably was when I was very young when his sweet mother worked with my mother at Fred Fuller’s State Farm office in Fleming Plaza in Collegedale.

Then later after he ran for judge in Collegedale to replace our retiring judge, I rolled through a stop sign and Judge Wilson was very fair.

Over the years Judge Wilson has been a great judge for the city of Collegedale, and has been re-elected several times, as folks here in the dale love him, because he is fair, decent and simply a good person.  The men and women of our police force speak highly of him, and numerous times I have sat in on court sessions and been impressed.

Judge Wilson accepted the call several years ago as myself, the city of Collegedale, and several stakeholders set up the Collegedale Tomorrow Foundation, to serve on the board of directors.  In fact, the board elected him as our first chairman.  Since that beginning, the Foundation restored and preserved the old Edgemon Springhouse, cleaned up tornado damage and built The Commons in Collegedale, as well as sending two semi-truck loads of tornado relief supplies to the folks who lost their homes in the 2021 Christmas tornados.  It’s easy to be “civic minded”, it’s another thing to get in the trenches and help get the job done, Judge Wilson is that kind of person.

The citizens of East Ridge would be wise to elect this good and honorable gentleman to continue in his post as their municipal judge.  We in Collegedale are just glad we get to share him with you good folks.
