Grace Shipp
Grace Audrey Shipp, 96, of Ringgold, Georgia, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022 at her home.
A resident of the Chattanooga area since 1950, Mrs. Shipp was a member of The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and had attended Graysville Methodist Church in her later years.
In her young years she was a member of the “3 Little Maids Trio” in Chicago, Illinois.
Mrs. Shipp was preceded in death by her husband, Waymon Shipp and infant son, Daniel Thomas Shipp.
Survivors are her children, Waymon Jack (Dianne) Shipp Jr., Chattanooga, Tommy (Debra) Shipp, Cleveland, and Marcia (Bryan) Brown, Ringgold; 3 grandchildren, Stephen (Cindy) Shipp, Jason (Rachel) Shipp, and Kaylee Shipp; 7 great-grandchildren, Emi Shipp, Kori (Tim) Oostra, Jessica (Kameron) Hellard, Britni (Garrett) Chisenall, Madison Shipp, Graci Shipp, and Garrett Shipp; four great-great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Lingerfelt, Hayli Schoocraft, Christian Waymon Oostra, and Audri Claire Oostra.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Aug. 12, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Sam Cravatt officiating. Burial will follow at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Stephen Shipp, Jason Shipp, Tim Oostra, Kameron Hellard, Rick Allen Curvin, Garrett Shipp, and Bryan Brown serving as pallbearers.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
