Wayne F. Brown, 68, of Rossville, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at a local hospital. 

Mr. Brown grew up in East Lake, was a 1972 graduate of Kirkman High School, and lived the past 20 years in the Rossville area.  He was a truck mechanic by trade who worked throughout the years with Chattanooga Truck Parts and retired in 2012 from Santek Waste.

Mr. Brown was a United States Army veteran having served in the 101st Airborne in Germany and Ft. Campbell Kentucky.  He was a member of the Rossville Masonic Lodge 397 F & AM where he served as Past Master in 1990 and was awarded as Mason of the Year in 2019.  Mr. Brown was also a member of the Knights of Pythias in Chattanooga.  He loved working on and showing cars, hunting, fishing, and his fur baby, Chloe.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Nancy Brown.

Survivors include his lifelong partner, Jennie East; children, James (Becky) Brown and Angela Talley; two sisters, Emmarean (Ted) Ledwell and Holly (Randy) Metcalf; brother, Hollis (Christina) Brown; two grandchildren, Jake and Justin Brown; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Friday, Sept. 30, at 12:30 p.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Masonic Rites and Military Honors.

The family will receive friends Thursday, Sept. 29, from 3-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville, Ga.
