Charles R. “Chuck” Brown, 80, of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at his home.

Mr. Brown was a lifelong resident of North Georgia and was a 1960 graduate of Rossville High School. After high school, Mr. Brown served his Electrical Apprenticeship and eventually retired as an electrician from TVA Sequoia. He was a longtime member of Parkway Baptist Church in Fort Oglethorpe and was a member of the IBEW Local 175. After his retirement, he enjoyed working at his church helping with maintenance and other jobs as needed. Mr. Brown loved his church and church family and was known to lend a helping hand to anyone who was in need. In his spare time he enjoyed working in the yard and enjoying the outdoors. Mr. Brown loved his family dearly. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather to all his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Stella Brown; brothers, Lebron and Don Brown; sisters-in-law, Sonyia Brown, Gail Davis, and Peggy Brown.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 60 years, Judy Brown; daughter, Jamie Forester; son, Paul Brown; brother, Ray Brown; sisters-in-law, Charlotte (Lebron) Tatum and Debbie (Rodney) Benton; seven grandchildren, Rachel Goff, Ashlan Brown, Kelsey Forester, Morgan Forester, Elizabeth Brown, Connor Brown, and Harrison Brown; nine great-grandchildren, Maleigha Moore, Logan Millsaps, Brantley Millsaps, Easton Millsaps, Addison Millsaps, Averie Millsaps, Maddie Davis, Sylas Davis, and Zayden Rhodes; and several nieces and nephews.

Condolences may be shared and live webcasting of the funeral services will be available at www.lane-southcrestchapel.com.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 30, at 1 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Dr. David Sampson officiating.

Interment will be in the Lakewood South Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville.
