Walter Henry
Walter Lee Henry, Sr., 90, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023, at his Scottsboro, Alabama residence.
He was a graduate of Carver High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Walter was the owner of Walt’s Plumbing.
He was preceded in death by his son, Walter Lee Henry, Jr.; and daughter, Saundra Henry Cross.
Survivors include his daughters, Gloria Henry Greene, Wanda D. Henry, Marcia Henderson Robinson, and Angela Henry Jones, all of Chattanooga; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Walter will lie in state on Wednesday, Feb. 1, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
A graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Chattanooga National Cemetery with Pastor George A. Clay giving words of comfort.
