Hugh Newton Blevins, Jr., 74, of Rising Fawn, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2023. He was born to Newt and Lillie Blevins on Oct. 11, 1948 in South Pittsburg. He was a graduate of Dade County High School class of 1968. He was a veteran of the United States Army from 1968 -1972. After returning, he was self-employed in the construction industry as a contractor. He was most recently employed and retired from Dade County as county inspector.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving include his loving wife, Pam Forester Blevins, of Rising Fawn; children, Doug (Sam) Blevins and their children, Mason and Beau, of Loganville, Ga., and Becky (Alex) Williams and their children, Jett and Lillie, of Lexington, SC; brother, Ernest Blevins, of Chattanooga; also several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1 in the chapel, with Rev. Dennis Flaugher and Rev. Reece Fauscett officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Jan. 31 from 5-7 p.m. and Wednesday, Feb. 1 from 10-11 a.m. at Ryan Funeral Home in Trenton.
