Most of us in the United States bemoan the atrocities of Hamas in the recent violence in Israel. We cringe in horror and anger at the murder of the innocent, the beheading of babies and children and burning alive of anyone. Yet, at the same time we celebrate the dismembership, chemical death, and destruction of our own children yet unborn.
We can't understand why there are so many serial murderers, school shootings, assaults on our society in places of worship and gatherings of any kind. We blame inanimate objects, guns. No one suggests that our culture is teaching a very low view of human life by abortion, assisted suicide and neglect of the helpless and elderly.
By these thing we are teaching a whole generation that people are not inherently valuable. The result is that the youth don’t value others, especially anyone who is different or disagrees with them or their lifestyle so they use extreme violence to ease their own pain and punish others on whom they have shifted the blame for their unhappiness.
We have taught them this by killing inconvenient babies, ignoring or killing the elderly and incompetent who are interfering with our comfort, pleasure or success and hating those who are created differently by God.
