The Chattanooga Mocs men's tennis team suffered a 7-0 setback against in-state foe Belmont on Sunday evening at Ensworth Tennis Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Following the loss, Chattanooga sees its three-match win streak snapped as the team moves to 3-2 in the spring campaign. Belmont improved to a perfect 4-0 after the shutout win.
"Give credit to Belmont. They are a very strong team and they were comfortable on their home courts for sure," said coach Chuck Merzbacher.
"Definitely a long weekend of play on the road.
We will be happy to have the next two matches at home next weekend."
Chattanooga (3-2) returns to action on Friday, February 10 when it hosts UNC Asheville in Chattanooga at 5 p.m. ET. Match location and coverage links will be available leading up to first serve on the schedule page.
