The Urban League of Greater Chattanooga is partnering for its third year with Unum for a career and workplace development event to be held tomorrow on Tuesday.
The hiring event will be held at ULGC’s office at 401 E. M.L. King Blvd., Ste. 301, from 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. It is open to everyone, and pre-registration is highly recommended. Positions available include eligibility specialists, associate leave specialists and long-term disability benefits specialists.
“Although Unum will be the only company offering on-the-spot interviews for those who pre-register for the event and have completed the paperwork, there will also be representatives from Hamilton County Schools, Rock City, The American Job Center, Orange Grove and the Urban League’s own Senior Community Service Program to meet job seekers and share opportunities,” said Anthony Wiley, senior manager of Workforce and Family Empowerment at ULGC.
“We are grateful for these partners and having such a great space to welcome our job seekers.”
There will be computers and technology on-site for jobseekers with an opportunity to print resumes and receive help from team members.
“Unum continues to be a valuable and consistent partner of the Urban League, and we look forward to this important event each year which provides life-changing opportunities for families,” said Candy Johnson, president and CEO of ULGC. “These are professional sustainable-wage jobs where many who have attended these in the past are still benefitting from this unique experience designed to provide personalized attention to their development needs to ensure they are supported throughout this process.”
Interview slots are still open along with registration through today, Monday.
