Audrey Elizabeth Drew, 84, of Lookout Valley, passed away on January 7, 2024.
She was born in Chattanooga on January 4, 1940 to the late Roy and Sarah Tucker. She graduated from Central High School. Audrey enjoyed water skiing and going camping in her younger years. She was an avid lover of flowers and gardening. She always kept a watchful eye on Scott while he was weed eating. But her most important role was as wife, mother and caregiver to her family. A job she wouldn’t have traded for anything. She was a member of Wauhatchie United Methodist Church and attended there for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Drew, daughter, Debbie Laney, parents, Roy and Sarah Tucker, brother, Tommy Tucker, and sisters, Shirley Fryar and Linda McKeel.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Becky Drew, grandchildren, Reagan and Dakota Drew; Garrett (Lauren) Laney; J.D. (Chelsea) Laney; great-grandchildren, Macey, Josie, Ellie, and Walker Laney, sister, Donna Patrick, several nieces and nephews, brother-in-law, Roger Laney, and many dear friends.
A Celebration of Audrey’s Life held in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Thursday, Jan. 11, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Grady Davidson officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Jan. 10, from 4-8 p.m. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Ernest and daughter, Debbie in the Lakewood Memory Gardens West.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Audrey’s memory Mary Ellen Locher Breast Cancer Center.
