Carol Reber Brooks
Carol Reber Brooks passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at 81 years of age in Rowlett, Texas.
She was both an avid scholar of the Bible and devout Christian. She took great pride in this scholarship and the connections that she made in this endeavor.
Born in Memphis, Carol raised her family in Chattanooga. She and her husband moved to Rockwall, Tx., in 2017. Carol was also an accomplished artist working primarily in watercolor and acrylic, winning several awards from the Tennessee Watercolor Society. She studied at Parson’s School of Design and Bank Street College Graduate Program in New York City, and the Memphis Academy of Fine Arts and Memphis State University.
Her work has been shown in numerous galleries and she spent time working as an art instructor at the Baylor School in Chattanooga. She was an active philanthropist in each of the communities in which she lived.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen and is survived by her sons, Mark (Tammie) and Christopher (Susan), seven grandchildren: Justin, Cody, Tabatha, Brittany, Jaxon, Paige, and Torin, and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
A graveside service for Carol will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 23, at 1 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery, 1954 Greenwood Rod, Chattanooga, Tn. 37406.
