Paul Richard Dragoo
Paul Richard Dragoo, 91, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed peacefully from this life into the presence of his Lord and Savior on May 7, 2025.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and man of quiet faith, Paul leaves behind a legacy of steadfast love, wisdom, and integrity.
Born on October 27, 1933, Paul lived a life rooted in service, humility, and dedication to his family.
He was preceded in death by his cherished wife of many years, JoAnne Wells Dragoo, who entered Heaven on January 10, 2018. Theirs was a marriage built on faith, love, and shared devotion to their children and community.
JoAnne and Paul raised a strong and loving family together. Paul was a steady and compassionate father to their children: Steve (Nancy), Mark (Julie), Susan, and Cathy (Sam). He also mourned, with abiding faith, the earlier loss of their daughter, Elizabeth Anne Dragoo, and grandson, Isaac Paul Burgess. He delighted in his role as grandfather to 15 grandchildren and was blessed and with 32 great-grandchildren who brought him joy and pride in his later years.
Paul will be remembered for his calm spirit, his devotion to his family, and his unwavering faith. Though his presence will be deeply missed, we rejoice that he is now reunited with his Savior and JoAnne in the eternal peace and joy of Heaven.
A private family service will be held in accordance with his wishes.
