The Chattanooga Lookouts dropped the final game of their series against the Biloxi Shuckers on Sunday afternoon splitting the series three games a piece.
The Lookouts uncharacteristically laid an egg on the mound giving up 14 runs on 12 hits while also granting seven free passes to the Shuckers. Starting pitcher Kevin Abel continued his struggles allowing six runs on four hits and his earned run average balloons to 6.28.
A solid offensive outburst was wasted as the Lookouts scored 8 runs on 8 hits. First baseman Ruben Ibarra had two homeruns on the day and was 3-4.
The Lookouts head to Rocket City on Tuesday for a four game series and remain in first place at 31-28.
